🔻Wide Arab and International Condemnation of the Attack on Riyadh Airport
The attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has been met with condemnation from a number of Arab countries, as well as other countries and regional institutions.
Jordan, Egypt, and Palestine, while condemning the attack, announced their support for Saudi Arabia and for the security and sovereignty of this country. Bahrain also described the attack as a “dangerous escalation” of tensions and called for action by the UN Security Council and the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Stephen Doughty, the UK Minister of State for the Middle East, condemned the attack and expressed solidarity with the victims. Joseph Aoun, the President of Lebanon, also condemned attacks on Saudi Arabia once again.
Badr Al Busaidi, Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, in a call with Faisal bin Farhan, his Saudi counterpart, condemned attacks on the airports of Riyadh and Abha. Cyprus also expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
The Gulf Cooperation Council, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the World Islamic League, the Council of Ministers of Interior of Arab countries, and the Arab Civil Aviation Organization also condemned these attacks and warned about their consequences for regional security and the safety of civil aviation.
