Simultaneously with the International Day against the Death Penalty, a conference was held on the initiative of Amnesty International in the city of Lund, Sweden.

Human rights activists and experts at the meeting discussed the increase in executions in Iran, the situation of political prisoners, and ways to counter the death penalty.
