The Civil Aviation Authority of Saudi Arabia announced that at least 12 people were killed and 309 were injured in the attack on the Riyadh airport. This is the third attack this week on the King Khalid Airport in the Saudi capital. The attack took place without any prior warning, and Saudi Arabia’s threat alert system issued no warning. Following the attack, the airport’s operations were temporarily suspended and the routes of all flights were changed. Western governments also urged their citizens to stay away from the airport and the areas around it. Meanwhile, the military coalition led by Saudi Arabia, which is fighting the Houthis in Yemen, said in a statement on Saturday that a projectile landed near the King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia.
