🔶 US official: The scope of Thursday evening attacks on Iran was double that of the previous night

An American official told The Jerusalem Post that the extent of the American attacks on Iran on Thursday evening, July 30 (August 8), was “about twice as much as the night before,” and that the attacks were “widespread, extensive, and impactful.”

On Friday, July 31, The New York Times published a report in which, citing satellite images and analysis of data and evidence, it was stated that in its attacks on Thursday evening against Qeshm Island, the United States likely used a 900-kilogram bomb, which is considered among the largest conventional bombs in the U.S. military’s arsenal. In this attack, according to Iranian officials, a residential house was also targeted, in which three members of a family—a couple along with their child named Zahra Jafari, Qaiser Jafari, and their child Sina—were killed.

These officials had told The New York Times that as a result of the attack, about 20 families living around the site of the incident were forced to leave their homes.
