🔶 Netanyahu Denies Report That Trump Prevented Israel’s Attack on Iran

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, denied a Financial Times report that said Trump prevented his planned attack on Iran earlier this month.

According to the report he is now denying, Netanyahu intended to attack Iran earlier this month, but Donald Trump, the U.S. president, who did not want to see fighting resume before the U.S. midterm elections, stopped him.

Netanyahu told Israel’s Channel 7: “This report is incorrect.”

He also said he would not get into details of what was said in his recent discussions with Trump about Iran.

Three people familiar with the matter told the British newspaper on Wednesday that the Israeli army was ready to carry out attacks during the weekend coinciding with October 10 (October 18 in the Iranian calendar), targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities and government centers, as well as non-military infrastructure, including power plants.
