🔶 Trump: I called off the attack at Iran’s and the region’s countries’ request, on the condition of reaching a deal to reach an agreement

Donald Trump, the US president, wrote on his social media account “Truth Social” on Sunday, 11 Mordad (2 August), saying that the United States is “ready to act against the Islamic Republic of Iran” with a level of military preparedness, power, and combat capability, which, according to him, “has not been seen since World War II to date.”

Trump said that despite this readiness, Iran and other Middle Eastern countries have asked the United States to delay any attack because, as he put it, they are aligned on the frameworks of a mutually understood agreement.

Trump further said that this agreement would include “the immediate, full, and comprehensive reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and putting an end to Iran’s nuclear threat.”

The US president emphasized that, based on this request, for the future interests of the world as well as the survival of a “successful and thriving Iran,” he agreed to cancel the attack, provided that it is possible to quickly reach a final agreement.
