Israel’s prime minister’s office reported that Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, along with Eli Cohen, the country’s minister of energy and infrastructure, visited the Leviathan gas platform.

During the visit, Netanyahu said: “We extract 400 billion shekels from the sea and bring it into the state treasury. The electricity price in Israel is almost the lowest among developed countries.”

The prime minister’s office added that the commander of the Haifa naval base of this country also presented Netanyahu and Cohen with a security report about the actions and efforts to protect the Leviathan platform.
