🔶 The Wall Street Journal: U.S. Navy ships are being armed for a possible attack on Iran

The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday (October 24) that U.S. warships in the Middle East are increasing their weapons stockpiles and preparing for the possibility of a resumption of military attacks on Iran.

The newspaper, citing U.S. officials who are aware of military planning, reported that these actions are being carried out in order to be prepared for a possible escalation of war if an order to attack is issued by Donald Trump in the coming weeks.

In an unusually rare visit, Wall Street Journal reporters aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington and a missile-equipped guided destroyer in the Arabian Sea closely witnessed flight operations and the extensive transfer of munitions and supporting equipment to the U.S. fleet.

According to this report, the weapons shipments include a significant number of long-range missiles for striking ground targets, and bunker-busting bombs designed to penetrate fortified ground targets.

This equipment can be used in operations against protected military targets and fortified installations.
