🔶 Britain: We have increased our diplomatic efforts to end the Iran war
David Miliband, Britain’s foreign secretary, announced that his country’s government has increased its diplomatic efforts to end the Iran war due to rising inflation and the cost of living.
Miliband said in a video published on Friday, 1 Aban (23 October) on the social media platform X that the cost-of-living crisis is the main problem for the people of Britain, and the government knows that the Iran war has caused higher energy and food costs and increased inflation.
He emphasized that it is his duty as Britain’s foreign secretary to do whatever he can to bring this war to an end; a war, he said, that has dragged on too long and has inflicted many damages on the people of Britain. Miliband added: “We cannot keep bearing the costs of this war any longer.”
The British foreign minister also said that is why he traveled to Istanbul, to work alongside the foreign ministers of European and Middle Eastern countries to achieve a definitive end to this war and to reduce the economic pressure on British families.
