🔶 Russian Embassy Denies Reports About Withdrawal of Russian Staff From Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant

The Russian Embassy in Iran, in a statement published on its official Telegram channel, rejected reports about the possible departure of this country’s diplomats and Russian specialists working at the Bushehr nuclear power plant, emphasizing that activities at the plant are continuing as usual.

In its statement, the embassy said: “Neither embassy staff nor Russian specialists at the Bushehr nuclear power plant have any plans for evacuation.

Activities continue according to normal procedure.” The diplomatic mission described the news that Russian personnel were preparing to leave Iran as “inaccurate information.”

The Russian diplomatic mission in Tehran asked users of social media to cancel their subscription to the news channels that publish these reports.

The embassy stressed that the information released about the departure of Russian staff is not true.

Despite the publication of reports about the possibility of Russian specialists leaving Iran, the embassy says that, at present, no change has been made to the status of activities of diplomatic staff or specialists at the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
