🔶 Molavi Abdolhamid: People in Iran are experiencing the most severe inflation

Molavi Abdolhamid, the Friday prayer leader of the Sunni community in Zahedan, criticized the country’s economic situation and the hardships people are facing, and asked Iran and the United States to show flexibility in negotiations and to step back from their positions in order to reach an agreement.

According to the information website of the office of the Sunni Friday prayer leader in Zahedan, Abdolhamid said on Friday, 1 Aban (23 October) that people in Iran “are experiencing the most severe inflation,” and that many citizens are even struggling to meet their most basic needs.

This prominent Sunni cleric said that controlling inflation and preserving the value of the national currency is the duty of the government and the establishment, warning that external pressures and trade restrictions have made people’s economic and livelihood conditions even more difficult.

Abdolhamid also addressed the worsening tensions between the United States and Iran, adding that refusing dialogue by either the Iranian or American side is a major mistake, and that both sides must show flexibility to reach an agreement and be prepared to make and receive concessions.

He also urged the government, the parliament, and the military commanders to prioritize the national interest and people’s livelihood conditions in their decision-making.
