🔶 Abdollahi: We will not allow the entry of American warships into the Persian Gulf

Ali Abdollahi, the chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic, said that Iranian forces, “under no circumstances,” will allow the entry of American military vessels into the Persian Gulf.

According to Iranian state television, Abdollahi claimed that Iranian forces have disrupted the effectiveness of the U.S. Navy and prevented its vessels from approaching waters around the Persian Gulf and Iran’s territorial waters.

He also, in response to Donald Trump’s remarks about the destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities, said: “If you have destroyed everything, what is the meaning of repeating these delusional claims?”

Abdollahi, referring to the United States’ claims about the destruction of Iran’s facilities and military capability, asked why American forces and vessels do not approach the Strait of Hormuz.

He described Tehran’s strategy as one that traps more of the United States and Israel in what he called their “self-made swamp.”

These remarks come as earlier Donald Trump, the U.S. president, accused Tehran of attempting to raise the price of oil through “fabricating news of attacks and mine-laying.”
