🔶 The fate of three pilots in the operation against Qatar’s Al Udeid base remains unclear

Mohammad Akraminia, the spokesperson for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces, said on Saturday, 10 Mordad 1405, that efforts to determine the fate of three Iranian pilots involved in an operation against U.S. positions in Qatar are ongoing, but that the Qatari side “so far has expressed lack of information and has not clarified their situation.”

In a televised program, Akraminia said that he wants the Iranian army and the government of Qatar to take action with greater seriousness and accountability to clarify the situation of the three Iranian pilots, in accordance with international conventions and international humanitarian law.

He did not provide further details about the likelihood of these pilots being taken captive, the aircraft being shot down, or the possible location of these pilots.

The army spokesperson said that after the attacks by the United States and Israel on the 9th of Esfand last year, Iran’s air force conducted, over two days, operations against U.S. bases in the region.

According to him, one of these operations involved F-5 fighter jets against the Al Udeiriya base in Kuwait, and the other involved Sukhoi fighter jets against the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
