Majid Akhlaqi, secretary of the Association of Airline Companies, announced an increase of about 40% in the price of airline tickets.
He, referring to the reasons for this price increase, cited the foreign-currency costs of airline companies and the halt in the allocation of exchangeable currency as the main factors behind the rise in ticket rates.
The secretary of the Association of Airline Companies added: “If the allocation of exchangeable currency is resumed, the airline ticket rate can be adjusted in Azar.”
Akhlaqi also emphasized that the rates announced by the association are considered the maximum ceiling for ticket prices, and said that airline companies can also offer their tickets at prices lower than the set ceiling.
