🔸 Reuters has published images of a fire on Saturday, October 11, near one of Saudi Arabia’s Aramco facilities in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
🔸 The images show a large column of smoke and flames around these facilities.
🔸 As of the time the news was published, Saudi officials had not confirmed the occurrence of this fire, and Aramco had not responded to a request for comment.
🔸 So far, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the fire.
Houthi attacks supported by the Iranian government on the cities and energy infrastructure of Saudi Arabia have intensified since July and after the collapse of a multi-year ceasefire.
🔸 The Houthis have also targeted Saudi oil tankers and seized parts of Yemen’s coast in the Red Sea.
🔸 Last week, the Houthis said they targeted Aramco facilities in Yanbu with missiles and drones.
🔸 Saudi Arabia said at the same time that it had intercepted six ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis toward Taif and the Yanbu area, but it did not provide any report of damage to Aramco facilities.
