🔸The United States and 55 other countries, on the first anniversary of the return of UN Security Council sanctions against Iran—known as the “snapback mechanism”—announced that they will continue implementing limited restrictions related to the Islamic Republic’s nuclear, missile, and military activities.

🔸In a joint statement released on Friday, 10 Mehr, the signatory countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and a number of European and Middle Eastern countries, emphasized that they will take action to prevent the transfer of goods, materials, equipment, and technologies that could be used in sensitive nuclear activities or in the development of Iran’s nuclear weapon delivery systems.

🔸These countries also reaffirmed the continuation of restrictions related to the sale or transfer of arms and related equipment to Iran or from Iran, and said that to prevent the transfer of items related to weapons of mass destruction and their delivery means—including drones—they will increase cooperation and information-sharing among themselves.

🔸The statement also called on all UN member states to implement the returned Security Council resolutions.
