🔻According to Axios, senior members of Donald Trump’s cabinet, U.S. President, » gathered in secret at the presidential residence at “Camp David” on Friday to discuss the next steps regarding the Iran war and the dispute between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthis.
Axios, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that JD Vance, deputy to Donald Trump, chaired the meeting.
The meeting was held as negotiations between Iran and the United States have hit a deadlock. According to the report, JD Vance, the deputy U.S. president, and senior U.S. government officials discussed for several hours the options ahead for Washington regarding regional developments.
Axios, noting that holding such a meeting without prior announcement is unusual, wrote that the last similar meeting with senior U.S. government officials at Camp David was held in June 2025—only a few days before the outbreak of the Israel–Iran war.
