🔶 Pezeshkian: We support the decision by Palestinian leaders in the negotiation process

Iranian President, in a telephone call with Khalil al-Hayya, head of Hamas’s political bureau, said that the country will support any decision or initiative that Palestinian leaders take in the course of indirect negotiations with Israel. He stated this after thanking al-Hayya for creating coordination among Palestinian groups.

Masoud Pezeshkian, referring to Israel’s attacks on Iran and the region’s situation, added that despite all problems, the issue of Palestinians still holds a central place in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic.

Khalil al-Hayya also, in the course of the conversation, called for making use of Iran’s experiences in the negotiation process.

Hamas, whose major attack on Israeli soil on October 7, 2023 sparked the Middle East war, is considered a terrorist group by the United States and the European Union.

According to a report by Israel’s Channel Kan, the group is preparing to transfer many of its activities from Qatar to Turkey.
