🔶 IRIB claim: Agreement with Oman has no link to the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz

IRIB, citing what it called an “informed source,” wrote that any possible Iran–Oman agreement regarding arrangements for the passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz “has no connection with the immediate reopening of this strait.”

The report says that these talks are “solely between Iran and Oman and have nothing to do with the United States.”

The report also adds that if what it calls “the violations” by the United States continues, “the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened even with an agreement between Iran and Oman.”

In the IRIB report, it was also announced that “the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz depends on a change in behavior and the correction of the United States’ violations.”
