🔶Fars: The accounts of the National Iranian Oil Company have been shut down

Fars News Agency, according to information it received, wrote that Iran’s state-owned bank for the industry and mining sector has closed the accounts of the National Iranian Oil Company due to debt.

Previously, the U.S. Treasury Department had imposed financial restrictions on the National Iranian Oil Company under the framework of sanctions.

The news also states: “The bank’s action is being carried out in a situation where, under the Budget Law, the debts of the National Iranian Oil Company have been deferred until the end of 1405, and the company has until the end of Esfand to repay its debts.”
