🔻Vilnius Airport in Lithuania closed and NATO fighter jets scrambled following drone sighting

Lithuanian security officials, after observing a drone, shut down the Vilnius airport and scrambled NATO fighter jets.

The National Crisis Management Centre of Lithuania announced that on Saturday the Vilnius airport was closed for less than an hour for a time.

Meanwhile, following reports of a suspected drone entering Lithuania’s airspace from Belarus, the “NATO Air Policing in the Baltic” fighter jets were scrambled.

The center said that authorities are investigating the incident.
