🔻Vitalii Kliçko, mayor of Kyiv, announced that in the continuation of Russia’s attacks on critical infrastructure, the second largest bridge in the Ukrainian capital has also been targeted.

According to Mr. Kliçko, the attack, which took place this morning, Saturday, October 3, damaged the road and high-voltage power cables of electric buses on the “North Bridge” and led to the closure of the route.

Mr. Kliçko wrote on Telegram: “A hit on the North Bridge. Rescue forces are being dispatched.”

“Traffic on the bridge, on the west-to-east route, is currently blocked.”

The “South Bridge,” another main bridge in Kyiv, had also been targeted multiple times by Russian drone attacks on Thursday and Friday (October 1 and 2).

These attacks prompted the Kyiv defense council to hold an emergency meeting yesterday.

Mr. Kliçko said he is concerned that these attacks could cause Kyiv to be “fragmented.”
