🔺UAE: Flydubai’s co-pilot intended to carry out a terrorist operation

▪ The UAE’s Attorney General announced that investigations show that the co-pilot of a Flydubai flight intended to carry out a terrorist operation.

▪ Hamad Saif Al-Shamsi said that the co-pilot of flight FZ 1073, during the flight, began executing his plan, attacked the pilot in the cockpit with an emergency axe, and tried to take control of the aircraft.

▪ According to him, investigations are ongoing to clarify all aspects, motives, and related connections regarding this incident.

▪ Flydubai’s aircraft, on Wednesday, on the route from Dubai to Tel Aviv, after an altercation in the cockpit, changed course and landed at Tabuk Airport in the northwest of Saudi Arabia. There were 174 passengers on the flight, about 150 of whom were Israeli.
