The United States and 55 other countries, members of the “Proliferation Security Initiative,” on Friday, 10 Mehr, in the first anniversary of the limited return of UN restrictions against the Islamic Republic through the “snapback” mechanism, announced that they will continue to implement these restrictions.

These countries said they will take action to prevent the transfer to the Islamic Republic of items, materials, equipment, and technologies that could be used in sensitive nuclear activities or in the development of systems for delivering nuclear weapons.

The signatory countries will also take action to prevent the transfer to or from the Islamic Republic of items that could be used in the construction of weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them, including drones.

In this statement, it said that six UN Security Council resolutions, on 5 Mehr 1404, after the snapback mechanism was completed, were implemented again. France, Germany and the United Kingdom began this process in response to the Islamic Republic’s failure to comply with its nuclear commitments under the JCPOA.

The United States and 55 other UN member states asked that the returned restrictions be implemented, and asked the Islamic Republic to return to its non-proliferation commitments and to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
