Hossein Aqayi, a member of Iran International’s editorial team, referring to Donald Trump’s remarks about an early end to the war, said that if neither the United States nor the Islamic Republic compromises its own conditions, a renewed war would be unavoidable and the main issue would be the timing of its start.

He added that if the war begins again, two main scenarios are likely: heavy but limited attacks on nuclear, missile, air-defense facilities, and command centers, or broader attacks on the infrastructure and officials of the Islamic Republic.
