Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon;

Israeli fighter jets carried out two airstrikes in an area in southern Lebanon. According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, the attacks targeted the city of Nabatiyeh province in the south of the country.

No information has been released about casualties or the extent of damage, and the Israeli army has made no comment on these strikes.

Israel’s attacks on southern Lebanon have continued in recent days. On Wednesday, Israeli artillery shelled an area in southern Lebanon, and its fighter jets flew over the region.

The Israeli army controls about six percent of Lebanon’s territory, and despite a ceasefire arranged with U.S. mediation, it has refused to withdraw.

A new round of negotiations between Israel, Lebanon and the United States is expected to be held in Rome this month.
