🔸Thousands of migrants entered the Spanish city of Ceuta on 8 Mordad by crossing the border fences from Morocco.

🔸The migrants, who had approached the border of Spain using inflatable tubes and other floating devices, entered the city after passing through a police barrier.

🔸Some media outlets have estimated the number of these migrants at between 2,000 and 3,000 people.

🔸In 2021 as well, around 10,000 migrants, many of them minors, entered this area of Spain from Morocco and countries of sub-Saharan Africa within a few days.

🔸The Spanish Ministry of the Interior has said it is sending and deploying immediately and more military and police forces in this region.

🔸The regional government of Ceuta had previously asked Madrid to deploy the army to ensure security and close the border with Morocco.
