🔸 The “No Marriage Proposal” ceremony was held as part of the annual grape harvest celebration with the attendance of the mayor of Paris’s 18th arrondissement.

🔸 Arik Le Gouvenandre, the mayor of this district, at the end of one of these ceremonies, told a couple: “I hereby declare you officially not married, and engaged for eternity.”

🔸 The participants, dressed in special outfits and with flower arrangements in their hair, celebrated the symbolic vows of “not getting married.”

🔸 A woman chose her dog as her ever-present companion in the celebration.

🔸 Dominique, 76, and Michelle, 80, who have been living together for six years, were also among the participants in the event.

🔸 Dominique, pointing out that his partner has been divorced twice before, said he does not intend to be “the third” husband and that marriage is not on their agenda for now.
