🔸The U.S. vice president says that, like Donald Trump, he will not publicly support Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, in next week’s parliamentary election in this country and wants to stand aside.
🔸J.D. Vance said on Monday, October 27, in an interview with Mark Halperin, a journalist, about Netanyahu: “I’m not against supporting him. I’m not in favor of supporting him either. I don’t interfere in Israel’s elections.”
🔸He added: “I support American candidates and my focus is on the midterm elections (in the U.S.).”
🔸Donald Trump, the U.S. president, officially endorsed Netanyahu on Sunday, who is seeking to regain the post of prime minister in Israel’s parliamentary election on October 27.
🔸According to Agence France-Presse, Vance’s refusal to comment on Israel’s election conflicts with his past approach toward elections in European countries.
