🔶 The family of Ali Larijani rejected Koothari’s claim about how he was killed

The family of Ali Larijani, by issuing a statement, rejected Ismail Kothari’s claim about identifying the whereabouts of Ali Larijani and his being killed. The Larijani family called Kothari’s account “lacking credibility” and said that Ali Larijani “essentially had no mobile phone” from months before the 40-day war until the time of his death, and that he was “very sensitive” regarding the matter of other accompanying people.

Ismail Kothari, a commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, had claimed in an interview with the program “Faraq” that Mortaza Larijani, the son of Ali Larijani, by making a phone call to the house, in effect revealed his father’s location.

Ali Larijani, the former secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, was killed on 26 Esfand 1404 in an Israeli airstrike. Mortaza Larijani and also a group of Ali Larijani’s guards were killed in this attack.

The Larijani family has asked officials and media outlets to refrain from publishing “uncredible analyses” about how Ali Larijani was killed and the details of this incident, and to wait for “official and documented reports from the competent authorities.”
