🔻Sharp Drop in the Value of U.S. Technology Companies’ Stocks
The value of U.S. technology companies’ stocks fell sharply for the second day in a row.
The stock-value plunge coincided with growing concerns about the hundreds of billions of dollars that companies have invested in artificial intelligence.
Intel shares fell 28% on Friday, while Alphabet’s stock, the owner of Google, fell another 1.4% after a 12% drop on Thursday.
Other technology stocks, including Reddit and Amazon, also declined, while the Nasdaq index ended October with its worst monthly drop since March 2025.
While technology companies are spending heavily on artificial intelligence, their revenues do not always meet analysts’ expectations, which has frightened investors and raised fears of an AI bubble.
