The UK Maritime Trade Operations Center said in its weekly report that the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz increased in the week ending October 30 compared with the previous week, but still remains about 70% lower than the level before the outbreak of hostilities.

According to this report, in the past seven days, 122 ships exited the Strait of Hormuz and 155 entered it. In the week before that, the figures were 114 and 127 ships, respectively. Also, 80% of the reported transits, according to the U.S. Navy’s maritime cooperation and navigation guidance center, were related to vessels carrying energy cargoes.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations Center said it has received reports of 88 maritime incidents in the Strait of Hormuz from 9 Bahman [February 28] to date and assessed the threat level in this waterway as “severe.”
