Several French media reported that France’s cyber security authorities have identified the Islamic Republic’s traces in the activities of French-language accounts on the social media platform X during this country’s recent protests.

According to a report by two outlets, “La Lettre” and “Vingt Minutes,” accounts linked to the Islamic Republic’s infiltration operations, by publishing misinformation, have tried to highlight the narrative of French police violence against protesters.

These media outlets also reported that France’s foreign minister requested the release of a documentary report about these activities, but Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, has preferred to adopt a more cautious policy toward the Islamic Republic and not make the findings of this report public.
