🔶 Several explosions reported in Aden; Houthis’ attack on positions of Saudi-led coalition, report

Yemeni police sources said on Saturday (October 24) that several explosions occurred in Aden, the city that serves as the temporary headquarters of the internationally recognized government of the country.

According to AFP, a police official said he heard the sound of three explosions in the city.

An AFP correspondent in Aden also confirmed the explosions.

Another source in Aden’s police told the news agency that the Houthis targeted positions of the military coalition led by Saudi Arabia near the city’s airport, as well as the coast guard.

According to the source, positions near Aden airport were also targeted by an attack last week.

The explosions occurred as fighting between the Houthis and forces supported by Saudi Arabia has intensified in recent weeks, and Aden, the hub of the Riyadh-backed government, has once again been targeted by attacks.
