🔸Saudi Arabia’s oil company Aramco announced on Tuesday that its net profit in the second quarter of the current year grew by 44%, as energy prices rose amid the war in the Middle East.

🔸According to Aramco’s financial report, the company’s net profit from April to June reached 122 billion 600 million Saudi riyals, equivalent to 32 billion 700 million dollars; whereas in the same period last year the figure was 85 billion riyals.

🔸Amin Nasser, Aramco’s CEO, said the company, despite unprecedented disruptions in oil supply through the Strait of Hormuz route, was able to continue its operations by using the East-West pipeline, storage capacities, and export terminals.

🔸The announcement of Aramco’s profit increase came at the same time as criticism by Donald Trump, the U.S. president, of the high profits of oil companies. He said these companies are “making too much money” due to a shortage of oil caused by the war.
