Reuters: Iranian negotiators for talks with Qatari mediators are now in Doha 🔻 Reuters, citing an informed official, reports that Iranian negotiators for further talks that took place on Friday in Tehran with Qatari mediators are now in Doha.

Earlier, the website Axios, citing a diplomatic source, reported that a day after the 12-hour negotiations between Iranian officials and Qatari mediators in Tehran, the talks are set to continue on Saturday in Doha.

After Axios published this report, the Qatari newspaper Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed also, citing sources close to the mediators, reported progress in talks between Tehran and Washington and said that an American delegation would also arrive in Doha for “direct talks” with Iran.

Tasnim news agency, which is close to Iran’s security and military institutions, says that its reporter has been informed that the Iranian delegation has traveled to Doha, but it reports that this delegation will not hold talks with the United States and is only seeking to advance the negotiations with Qatar.

Iranian, Qatari, or U.S. officials have not yet made any official comments in response to these reports.
