🔻Wall Street Journal: Iran’s attacks on U.S. bases have caused billions of dollars in damage
The Wall Street Journal, in a report, wrote that, based on Pentagon estimates, Iran’s missile and drone attacks on U.S. military bases in the Middle East have caused at least $5 billion in damage, and that figure may even reach $15 billion.
According to this report, U.S. bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, among other facilities, were among those that suffered significant damage in the early stages of the war.
As the Wall Street Journal wrote, during Iran’s attacks “274 U.S. military facilities in 7 different countries” were damaged, and the cost of rebuilding the damaged facilities alone could exceed four billion dollars.
The Wall Street Journal wrote: the Pentagon has released little information about the extent of damage at the U.S. bases, and reviewing satellite images may not show all damage.
The latest estimate of the costs of the U.S. war against Iran mentions more than $47 billion, but that figure does not include damage inflicted on military bases.
