Prince Reza Pahlavi, in a message on X on the anniversary of the signing of the Constitutional Decree, called the Constitutional movement one of the biggest movements in the contemporary history of Iran and added: “The Constitutional movement rose from the thoughts and decades-long efforts of Iran-loving people who were suffering from Iran’s backwardness and disorder during the Qajar era.”

He continued: “This struggle faced resistance from those who supported Shari’a rule, who gave precedence to the authority of religious law and clerics over law and national sovereignty.”

Prince Reza Pahlavi added: “It is regrettable that today, some political currents, even with a different appearance, still oppose the principle of the sovereignty of the people and acceptance of the people’s vote as the final reference for determining Iran’s future political system.”

He added: “Today, honoring the Constitutional Revolution means emphasizing the rule of law, the vote, and the will of the people, complete separation of religion from government, and bringing Iran back onto the path of progress and civilization.”

At the end, Prince Reza Pahlavi emphasized: “My program for guiding Iran during the transition period is to hold free elections, uphold the rule of the people’s vote, convene a constituent assembly to determine the country’s future path, and provide the conditions for the flourishing and welfare of all Iranians.”
