Jaafar Pourkabagani, the representative of Bushehr in the parliament, said in an interview with the «House of People» news agency that the Islamic Republic must first establish its superiority and capabilities in the field, and then enter negotiations.

The representative told the parliament media: «Experience has shown that relying on negotiations without having deterrent power cannot guarantee national interests.»

Pourkabagani added: «The recent threats by the enemy about the use of powerful bombs are made in a context where internal and external pressures on the United States and Israel have increased and have pushed them toward such actions.»

He also said: «We hope that by achieving the country’s strategic objectives, the grounds will be provided for ending the United States’ presence in the region and for erasing Israel.»
