🔶In Houthi attack, at least 30 Yemeni government forces killed and wounded
According to Yemen’s government officials, on Thursday, August 6, in attacks by Houthi rebels supported by Iran on central and eastern areas of Yemen, at least 30 government forces were killed and at least 50 others were injured. One of the Houthi commanders claimed that forces supported by Saudi Arabia were the target of these attacks and that “hundreds of people” were killed or injured in the attacks.
Two medical sources in Yemen told Agence France-Presse that the missile and drone attacks by Yemen’s Houthis on Thursday killed at least 38 Yemeni government forces and injured 29 others.
According to Yemeni officials, these attacks targeted camps of government forces supported by the international community in the provinces of “Marib” and “Hadramaut.” These officials, due to not having permission to speak with the media, did not want their names disclosed.
