Donald Trump, the president of the United States, in an interview aired on Fox News on Wednesday morning, 14 Mordad, described the pace of progress in negotiations with the Islamic Republic as “very good” and added that, despite this, Tehran officials have no inclination to confirm the talks.
He said: “They tell you that we have had very good discussions, but then someone from Iran appears and says we did not have a meeting.”
Trump added that officials of the Islamic Republic even say they have not discussed the nuclear program and asked: “So what did we talk about? Are we sitting there with our hands folded?”
At the end, he said that Tehran’s public statements do not matter and that “the only thing that matters is action.”
Trump added: “They want an agreement. We’ll see what happens. If they don’t reach an agreement, things will be very bad for them.”
