🔶 Conditional release of a British-Iranian dual citizen in the Fairford base case

British anti-terrorism police announced that a British-Iranian dual citizen who had been arrested in London on Thursday, October 1 (Mehr 9), in connection with suspicion of a “terror plot” against an air base managed by the United States in England, has been released on bail.

The agency added that the search of two properties in the Westminster area of London, where the 25-year-old suspect had been detained, has been completed.

British anti-terrorism police said that investigations into incidents related to this air base are still underway.

The base had been used by the United States to attack the Islamic Republic.

In this regard, hours before the announcement of the person’s arrest, the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic summoned the British ambassador to Tehran.

Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, in this meeting emphasized “the need for an official explanation by the British government in this regard and for correcting its inappropriate approach toward Iran.”
