Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, criticized the policies of Western governments and, in particular, Britain, saying that they have focused their criticism on Israel while, according to him, ignoring the threat of the Islamic Republic and its proxy forces. He asked protesters in Britain why they do not protest in front of the Islamic Republic’s embassy instead of Israel.
Netanyahu said: “What I tell the people of Britain is: where are you? The people who protest against us—why don’t you protest in front of the embassy of the Islamic Republic? Why doesn’t all the venom of the British government fall on them?”
He added: “Why is there no stance against the Islamic Republic? Why is it not against its proxy forces?”
The Israeli prime minister also accused Western governments of not recognizing the threat posed by the Islamic Republic, and said: “This is a government in Iran that has killed or injured tens of thousands of its own citizens.”
He added that the Islamic Republic “chokes” Western economies, energy resources, and international waterways, but does not see the wave of anger that exists against Israel as being directed at the Islamic Republic.
