Axios reported that, based on the details of the Tehran–Muscat agreement, all ships that enter the Persian Gulf via the Strait of Hormuz will pass through the northern route that goes through waters under Iran’s control, and all ships that exit the strait toward the Arabian Sea will pass through the southern route that goes through waters of Oman and is managed with Iran’s coordination. Axios also reported that during the 60-day period, no fees or charges will be collected from the ships, and the parties will cooperate within 30 days to clear naval mines from the middle route of the strait.
