Amid the ongoing talks, Donald Trump reposted a warning about the state of Iran’s economy

🔸Donald Trump, as diplomatic efforts to end the war with Iran continue, reposted an early-morning Thursday ninth of Mehr, Iran time, report from the New York Post about the remarks of the U.S. Treasury Secretary on the Truth Social social network.

🔸The report, published in the New York Post on September 27, cited Scott Bessent in its headline, writing that “in two weeks there will be nothing left for Iran’s economy.”

🔸The Treasury secretary’s remarks concern Iran’s oil exports.

🔸Mr. Bessent also emphasized that U.S. economic pressure is one of the reasons Iran has again expressed its willingness to reach a deal.

🔸He said: “I think they feel the pressure, and that’s why they want a deal.”

🔸The U.S. Treasury Secretary introduced “economic expulsion operations” as part of the Trump administration’s policy to restrict Iran’s foreign trade, especially oil exports, and said that the objective of this policy is also to ensure that, if a new agreement is reached, Iran remains committed to its obligations.
