U.S. President Donald Trump praised Boeing and the company’s model "737 MAX" aircraft, saying the aircraft has been able to withstand "G-forces" and structural stresses far beyond what it was designed for.

In a post on the social network Truth Social, Trump described the matter as an example of "precise and powerful engineering and structural design," and said, "Boeing should be commended for the incredible ingenuity of the makers of this aircraft, as Boeing builds—by a wide margin—the best commercial passenger planes in the skies!".

In his post, he did not specify which incident or which 737 MAX flight his remarks referred to, but yesterday, reports had made headlines about a failed attempt by a first officer to bring down a Boeing 737 MAX flight of FlyDubai from the United Arab Emirates to Israel.

Reports said the aircraft fell from an altitude of about 14,000 feet in less than a minute.

Pulling an aircraft out of such a fall forces dynamic forces and severe weight load (G-forces) that far exceed normal operational limits on the aircraft’s structure and body.
