🔸A major fire broke out on Wednesday, 8 Mehr, at the Islam Qala customs in Afghanistan, near the Iran border, involving about 20 trucks, and was brought under control after firefighting operations.

🔸According to the governor of Taybad, initial investigations indicate that the fire started in a fuel tanker and then spread to nearby vehicles.

🔸He said that four fire engines, along with emergency response forces from Taybad, were dispatched to Islam Qala to help contain the blaze, and after the fire was extinguished, clean-up operations continued.

🔸The Islam Qala customs is in Herat province, Afghanistan, and is located near the Dougaroun border crossing in Iran.
