🔻Alexander Kormy and Marie Ebert, a newly married British couple, were killed after a helicopter crash on the Greek island of Serifos.

They, who were spending their honeymoon in the Greek islands, boarded a private helicopter on Tuesday, August 18 (27 Mordad), which crashed just a few meters before the landing site.

The Greek helicopter pilot was also killed in the incident.

Alexander Kormy was the head of asset management at Blackstone Financial Services, one of the largest financial companies in the world, and had recently married Marie Ebert.

In a statement, Blackstone expressed “condolences and sorrow” over the deaths of Mr. Kormy and Mrs. Ebert, and said that “anyone who worked with Alex at the company loved him deeply.”

The Greek aviation office told the BBC that “investigations into the cause of this crash are ongoing.”

A British Foreign Office official also said that they are in contact with Greek authorities for consular services.
