🔻 After US media reported that Vladimir Putin has proposed that, to determine the fate of the war in Ukraine, a trilateral meeting be held with the presidents of the United States and China, Donald Trump said that he agrees with such a meeting, but emphasized that the focus of the meeting would be on nuclear disarmament, not the issue of Ukraine.
The U.S. president said that Russia’s position on Ukraine has been “acceptable.”
A report by The Wall Street Journal about Mr. Putin’s proposal has raised concerns in Europe and has been followed by Kyiv’s condemnation.
Mr. Trump also criticized Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, once again and said that perhaps it is time for someone else to negotiate on behalf of Kyiv.
