🔻Zelensky thanked Trump for signing the law imposing sanctions on Iran and Russia
Earlier, we reported that Donald Trump signed a law imposing broad sanctions on Russia, as well as extending sanctions against Iran. Now Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, has thanked the U.S. president for signing the law.
The law was drafted with the participation of Republican senator Lindsey Graham, who died earlier this summer. Before his death, Mr. Graham traveled to Ukraine.
On the social media platform X, Mr. Zelensky wrote: “The best way to honor Lindsey’s memory will be to fully and quickly implement the provisions of this law.”
